I love how people keep picking Florida as their example, ignoring, for instance, that Florida lost 4 games last year. People have short memories when it comes to college football.

And Florida got their azz bailed out in 3 games during their championship year... remember UGA and S Car?

9 years out of 10, the champion needed some MAJOR luck that year to be the champion.

Rarely is any team the kind of Champ the rantards think we should be every year.

Florida went 9-3!!!! Lost one of those games in the last 2min to LSU! Beside LSU putting the best damn drive and some luck with 4 or 5 4th down conv to win. FLa is 10-2 after their NC. People have short memories of that. LSU is 7-5 and got blown out by fla, almost lost to freakin troy, Do you people realize how close we were to being 5-7???? Auburn was f'n horrible and we barely got out of that game. Florida went 9-3, 9-4 after bowl game. LSU was almost 5-7 this year. If you dont aknowledge that fact then you are blind. Thank god for Appl St, North texas, Ms state(which was to damn close of a game), Troy for having the worst 4th qtr melt downs in history, Auburn for sucking this year, S. carolina for having the worst oline.

That could be said for any team. Im sayin the most talented TEAMS. overall talent! Id Put USC, FLA, LSU 1 2 3 as having the most overall team talent. Not sayin LSU has the number one player at every position, that would be moronic to assume. In my personal opinion USC and LSU have had the most talented teams in the country since 03

IMO, the talent gap between LSU and other teams isn't as great as you assume

I think this is right. If LSU and USC were so overwhelmingly and outright more talented than EVERY other college team, it seems there wouldn't be so many NFL players from those other teams. All kinds of other schools, and lots of other SEC schools have players doing very well in the NFL. At some point, those players were lined up against LSU players...

The only team that you could assume has more talent than everyone else is USC, and that is simply based on their staggering recruiting results.

OK you are missing my point on talent. We can argue on this all day. If you think that every team out there is close on talent then go right ahead buddy. But there is a reason WHy LSU, USC, FLa, Texas, Okla are constantly in the top 25 and most part in the top 15 every year. They are in the top 15 in recruiting. These are the most heavily talented teams. There is a big gap between these teams and teams like TROY, miss st, ole miss, kentucky, arkansas, texas a&m etc. My whole point is that Miles doesnt really use the Most talented teams LSU has ever seen to the best of his ability. Is there gonna be hick ups down the road...ofcourse! every team has those(a la FLA vs Ole MS, USC vs Org st) I just get baffled sometimes by his schemes and play calling!

Haha im not sayin that the only good players go to these certain schools. GEEEZE! Im sayin they have the most OVERALL TALENT. Do some teams have a better qb than the schools i mentioned? hell yea, But im talkin about TOTAL TEAM TALENT. Were the LSU teams in the 90's just as talented as the the LSU team in the 2000's? HELL to the NO! Like my first post said, I think miles is doin a great job coninuing what saban started with recruiting. I just think he's underacheiving with the talent he has.

We get it!!!! You think that Miles has underacheived at LSU. Eveybody else in this thread doesn't share your exact point of view. Just drop it and go bitch on the rant where you will find like-minded individuals to tell you that you are right. Maybe that will make you feel better about yourself.

LSU has not had a great defense since Miles has gotten here

2005 & 2006 defenses were certainly very good.

So...Florida get's credit for barely losing. LSU doesn't get credit for barely winning. Got it.
