Miami
1. Mark Richt - Very good coach and a Miami alum with the ability to rebuild both the football program and Miami's image
2. Charlie Strong - Good coach in a terrible situation at Texas that has strong recruiting ties in Florida
3. Dan Mullen - Has ties to Florida from 4 years as the Gators OC. Supposedly is itching to leave Starkville. His offense could do wonders with Miami's talent pool. Division is pretty soft.
4. Lane Kiffin - Execellent recruiter with decent history as a HC who should be much better in that role with what he has learned from Nick Saban. Excellent offensive coach.
Georgia
1. Tom Herman - Excellent work as OC at Ohio State where he learned from Urban Meyer. One game from a New Year's Six bowl in his first year at Houston. Previously coached under Mack Brown at Texas as well.
2. Kirby Smart - Saban assistants have been boom (Dantonio Fisher McElwain) or bust (Muschamp Dooley). Smart has been with Saban longer than anyone. As an alum, he would likely be a Georgia lifer is hired and successful. I think Kirby has great potential as a HC.
USC
1. Pete Carroll - Now that he has a Super Bowl ring and things are trending down a touch at Seattle I would throw the bank at him to try and bring him back.
2. Chip Kelly - Kelly will be out in Philly. If he wants to stay in the NFL the Titans may be an interesting place to look. If he doesn't find or want an NFL home USC is a perfect landing place given his familiarity with the Pac-12.
3. Jack Del Rio - Solid NFL coach who is a USC alum. Del Rio's record is better than Carroll's when he was hired. Del Rio is likable and could do well in college if interested.
4. Chris Petersen - Disappointing start at UDub. Would give him a chance to reconsider turning down USC and going there.
5. Clay Helton - Good young offensive mind. 6-2 record with a division championship in two stints as the interim head coach at USC. If the 4 above say no Helton is as good as any other up and comer.
South Carolina
1. Mark Dantonio - One of the best coaches in football. South Carolina alum. Practically no chance he says yes but you have to offer him a lot of money and make him say no.
2. Larry Fedora - Has UNC at 11-1. Excellent offensive coach. USCe may be able to lure him away with $ and the lure of the SEC. Also had an excellent final season at USM.
3. Jeff Brohm - 18-7 in two years at Western Kentucky. Learned from the great Bobby Petrino. Excellent young offensive mind.

I had no idea Dantonio is a South Carolina alum

I could see Mark Richt at UVA for some reason. Definitely seems like the wrong guy for The U.

Would Mark Richt consider USCe?
I don't see Dantonio leaving MSU. USCe seems like it would be a lateral move for Fedora.

Why is Charlie Strong's situation terrible? Serious question, not a troll. I don't follow Texas.

Before going to UGA, Mark Richt strongly considered UVA for the head coaching job.

Georgia
1. Tom Herman - Excellent work as OC at Ohio State where he learned from Urban Meyer. One game from a New Year's Six bowl in his first year at Houston. Previously coached under Mack Brown at Texas as well.
I hope this doesn't happen because I would like him to coach at LSU sometime in the now future.

Good work.....just a suggestion.....add possible replacements for conditionals, such as Fedora leaving UNC, Dantonio leaving Mich State, etc.

No offense but South Carolina is a backwards move compared to Michigan State
One team has been in NY6 bowsl and playoff talk for years, the other is irrelevant
Dantonio would be a fool to go to a bottom tier SEC team

Make it more obvious you're a Clemson troll. You can't.

We gotta root for strong to get that thing fixed then
If uga doesn't get Herman we are good this year I think. He will be there for the taking in 2016.

Where you getting your info?
I have heard no mention of MD in our search at all, not that he wouldnt be a good hire...its just no happening.
Fedora is getting some consideration.
Brohm hasn't been mentioned.

Richt might not be a bad option for South Carolina. He's a good coach and a proven winner. He has at least 5-10 years left in him. He knows the landscape of the SEC east. If the results at UGA are any indication, he's a good recruiter with ties to Georgia High Schools, which, lets be honest now, is the key to our success (Even more so than SC).
I'm assuming he won't have any buyout for SC since he was "fired". He was getting paid $3.3 million at UGA so with no buyout and a bump to $4 million (SOS's previous salary), it's a raise for him and revenue neutral for the school.
Why not take a flier on him. He's at least as good as any option there is out there right now.
The only reason NOT to do it is UGA fans claiming SC is getting their leftovers. Personally, if the guy's a winner, I could care less.

As a usc fan I'd cream in my pants if we got 1 or 2

Richt isn't going to coach anywhere else, he's said as much many, many times for the last decade. UGA is/was his last big coaching gig.
He is either going to stay on at UGA in some administrative role, combined with running the PO outreach program, or call it a day and do whatever he wants (likely involving the church and mission work).
L O fricking L at people think he's gonna pack up his family and move to miami.

And I'm sure he thought he would be there 5-10 more years too (not trolling)...
Edit: And I get that he's a deep man of faith, and I've heard the mission work thing for a long time as well. But 5 more years with a $700K bump per year is $3.5 mil. As Dave Ramsey says, you can touch a lot of lives with that kind of money.

you act like he's been working on a GA salary. He's made multiple millions for the last 15 years, plus any other outside work like advertisements/commercials/speaking gigs/etc.
I'm pretty sure money is not going to be the motivating factor for what he chooses to do next.
