Of course I will get behind our coach. I will be cheering for him just as hard as I was cheering for Miles because I will cheer for the Tigers no matter what.
We had 3 months to make sure we get the right guy. And maybe in the end we did. Only time will tell that.
My problem is we replaced our most successful coach ever for a guy that has a career record of 20-29. A record of 7-23 in the SEC.
A guy who has only once beaten a top 25 team
in his head coaching career. ONE! That's it.
The way this team played against an undermanned Florida team scares me. It's almost like he folds in games that matter.
That's what I'm worried about. Hopefully he proves me wrong.
My other problem is why not at least interview Fedora, Fuente or Mcintrye?
You could have waited till the season was over. It's not like O was going anywhere until we told him no.
Alleva has proven time and time again that he is not cut out for the job.

Another guy that understands that Coach O deserves a clean slate.

You know that I'm with you on this one CBtullis, of course you probably remember trying to sell me on the Miles hire when I was totally against it too. But Alleva really should be fired shortly . Just add up all his failures and I too hope O works out but I have my doubts. I was all on the O train till the Florida game . How in the hell do you frick that game up?

Lol
I think that Miles hire turned out ok my friend.
Maybe not forever, but he is the most successful coach in LSU history. Not too shabby
Hope you are doing well buddy!

Alleva plays checkers while others play chess. He always gets swallowed by whatever situation he's in.

Florida runs away on a windy day? Joe Alleva finds a way to make LSU the bad guy.

Botched the Miles firing last year? Done worry, we can still bungle it in 2016 too.

Who controls the LSU coaching search conversation on Thanksgiving night while America watches? Texas, of course.

He is a clown that makes LSU look like a group of amateurs.

Alleva has to be feeling like he screwed himself by getting rid of miles before the calendar flipped to October. The grand plan was to get Herman or another up and coming head coach and have 2 full months for due diligence, negotiations, etc.

Then O goes 5-2, UT opens up, and O ends up being as attractive to him as the other HCs that were considered. In hindsight he probably wishes he would have waited to show Miles the door and stay in control of the outsider pool of candidates to pick from.

I agree but coach Zero isn't lily white. When Kiffin got the USC job in Jan 2010; Coach Zero and Kiffin called UT recruits urging them not to attend classes and follow them to USC. That is dirty and classless.

Modern day.. Coach Zero deserves a chance but not at the stage he is on. Let him work his way up. He was 5-2 as interim. I get the Bama thing but Florida was all on him. So... if you want a 9-3 or 10-4 year. He is your guy. Seems like we fired someone who did that.

Hopefully this is like a fast moving virus. We will immediately feel the effects, it will be bad but we can heal from it soon. We have one 8-4 year coming followed by a 5-7 year. Get ready folks it is coming. Maybe we can do better with a coaching search in 2018.

I unfortunately believe the demise will happen faster than 2 years, I believe next year could really be bad. Thanks to Alleva digging his heels in the sand on the Florida fiasco , we now play 5 SEC games on the road. A tall task, and what I consider a rebuilding year. I for one will have no patience since O got this job based on the Binder. Losing season or even .500 season next year should do him in, and I would hope that through all this , there is no buyout in his contract since nobody else wants him but us.

I was hoping for one more Texas bowl win... I am some what of an optimists....

I see us winning the non conference schedule 3- teams

Miss St, Ole Miss, R Kansas and A$M. That gives us 7

No. Any coach that needs to hire a propaganda specialist, plays politics with donors and former players, and openly grovels for the job, is kind of pathetic. His record clearly doesn't stand on its own.

He actively recruited McKnight for USC against LSU and also said USC was his dreamjob. He's a fricking con man.

Didnt see your thread when I posted mine. Sums up what I am trying to say. We need to go after Alleva now, so that whenever its time to replace Orgeron (two years from now or ten), we have leadership we are confident in. None of us trusts Alleva at this point, so we need to get him out while people are still motivated...

I don't know why the shithead was even hired after the Duke lacrosse fiasco. He didn't deserve this job. Or any AD job.
