He was my third choice behind Jimbo and Herman. Am I upset that it appears we didn't try to negotiate more with Herman? Yes, but I also realize that we likely would've never landed him. So I'm ok with it now, after a few hours to digest it.
I'm 31 and I've been a fan ever since I can remember, so probably 26-27 years.

I would say a good chunk did not attend LSU. And more than that dedicate their life to LSU football and feel that earns them the right to make the calls. It's like the bad Alabama fans. Went to the game this year and their fans were great. A couple of students and alumni said, "it is the people that never went to alabama that usually makes us look bad."

27 college educated and think we totally fricked up. It's not that I think O is a bad coach, but we needed a game changer and we got the same mediocre Les Miles bullshite. Most of what I've seen is older women. My mom and all her friends are doing backflips right now.

23, already have one degree from LSU and now in grad school here.
I'm optimistic - I was very concerned that this team would face plant once Les was fired, but that didn't happen and O deserves a lot of credit.
I did want Herman, but you've gotta admit that he handled the negotiation process poorly by telling LSU "yes... But I'm not signing until I hear from UT." Now maybe Alleva did overreact, but you can understand how this would piss him off and come across as a little dirty.
The only hire, and I'm confident that LSU knew not to give him the time of day, that would actually lessen my LSU fandom would have been Petrino.

False douche. We remember Archer and Hallman. O is those two combined

Alum and season ticket holder since 1996. I think this entire process was a shite show and Alleva needs to be given the blood eagle on the eye of the tiger.

Class of '04
The fact that this search wasnt initiated last year is infuriating. The fact that we had most of this football season to vet candidates and gather a list of exciting football minds in order to replace/refurbish a long suffering offense and end up with a failed headcoach/current defensive line coach because he is a cajun and has a good plan is indescribable.
The fact that Joey Freshwater may be brought in to save our offense, may be the single most fricking dissappointing "binder plan"...and at 2 mill is utterly laughable.
The whole athletic department from the top down need to be gutted...

False
Alums, Football Letterman, Med School Grads all in my family.
Club Seats
This was a shite show. Alleva proved to anyone with a brain that he is unqualified for the position he holds. 1 year to find a coach and we hire the DL coach? For real? The ineptitude from the AD is beyond description.

I'm 40 and remember Jerry Stovall as HC. This is a flat out goatfrick.

47 and I hate this hire. Unbelievable.

False. 56 and been going to games since my Dad first took us in the 60s. I hope I'm wrong but this reminds me when LSU hired Archer.

Been a fan since dinardo days and I think this is a disgraceful hire. My 63 year old dad does too. Actually, it seems to be the casual LSU fans and the facebook posting housewives that are thrilled with O
I am 63 and a dad, an LSU fan from Louisiana since 1957, consider myself somewhat casual, and support Coach O as the new head coach of The Fighting Tigers football team.
You are just daddy's little boy.

I don't like it and I saw Tommy Casanova play live. I like Coach O and will pull for him but his hire was not what we needed, not what was promised, and is a true letdown to all Tiger fans who wanted more for the program.
I wanted Orgeron as the Associate Head Coach, Defensive Line Coach and Recruiting Coordinator, not Head Coach.
Yet another Alleva shite show hire. (Like Trent Johnson, Johnny Jones and Nikki Fargas) Time for him to depart Baton Rouge for greener pastures before it gets real ugly. (If O bombs out)

False. Most can remember what kind of an impact a bad hire can have.

I would prefer O,
That's the ticket. If we cant get one of the two hot names, lets be happy with the guy out of work two years ago and never more than a DL coach in ten years after failing miserably in his last HC job.
This shite is too fricking funny and serves us entitled clowns right.
