They're gonna offer 4.3 million so they can win 7 or 8 games a year.

What's that? That's nonsense, you say? Yea, I agree.

Frank isn't going to take a $360,000 pay cut to be a perennial loser at ULM.

Don't be surprised if he is not the head coach. Frank has bigger ambitions than being a running back coach his whole career. Its a head coaching job in Louisiana that is D1 football. If he was close to taking the Nicholls job earlier in his career, and than the Troy job last year. Than I can see him staying in how state and using the ULM job as a stepping stone to a bigger job in the future.

Also if Frank does get a head coaching job I would not at all be surprised to see Corey Raymond go with him as his defensive coordinator and he hire Jabaar Juluke to be his offensive coordinator.

Are they interested in BDP?

This would be the ultimate case of the irresistible force meeting the immovable object. Can three of the best recruiters in the state get kids to go to the worst FBS program in the country?

Would be an awesome experiment. Someone should write a thesis.

Mike Collins

He is on the list everytime they have a list. That is boosters who are his buddies at Randles Fine Meats, Frenchmans Bend and Sterlington La.

The answer is no because they may never win a game.

You have to be more than a recruiter to win in D1 college football. See Larry Porter, Ed Orgeron, etc. Former assistants hailed as great recruiters who couldn't run a winning program because they didn't have the experience. I would never hire a coach who had never been a coordinator.

It's going to have to be someone who's ok with being the lowest paid coach in D1.

With the lowest paid assistants, too.

Yep, he is the type of guy that ulm can reasonably expect to get. He is an alumnus, has HC experience, knows the state, and probably won't quibble over money because he needs a job since being fired as TE coach by the Falcons.

Moreover, he could bring his brother Frank with him back to Monroe as he is about to be let go as a "consultant" by the Jaguars; he was replaced as their QB coach already.

Ulm could do worse. Much, much worse.

ULM would be the school to hire a Tulane reject.

That is why ULM needs to hire McNeese's or Central Arkansas's coach (my choice). ULM already pays more than the FCS so the coaches would get a raise. Central Arkansas's coach has Mississippi ties and if he won at ULM he could jump to OM or MSU after a few seasons.

I don't get why Mike Collins would be above Matt Viator or any list?

I hope Viator doesn't leave but I can't blame him. I know he interviewed for ULL when Hud got it

then he would likely last as a head coach shorter than larry porter, which is saying something
