When you publicly go against your employer's ruling you can expect to get fired.

Any SEC coaches want to go back to the Big 10 region?

Butch? Bert? Sumlin?

The Minnesota players are not going to look attractive to peer programs/conferences for transfer. They will end up playing D2, or for schools that will look past their stupidity. Lousiville and Baylor come to mind.

The team protest/boycott threat ended the minute they gained access to the 80-some page investigative report and they learned about the actions of their teammates.
Claeys was naive to support them before he had the facts.

Damn, that is cheating-praying that they take Bert. I guess my prayer for them to take Sumlin won't work since you were first.

The SJWs, seeing blood in the water in Minny after the debacle at Baylor, pounced and got what they wanted.

9 wins is the high water mark for that program. They fire a coach because he stands with his players asking for a fair investigation and not a SJW railroading?

There's been mention of PJ Fleck

I can't possibly see him taking that job. He'll probably be the hot head coaching prospect next season with several big jobs coming available. The SEC will probably have at least 3 or 4 openings. Notre Dame could be open as well.

Fleck's stick wont last long in a big time P5 school. The players will make fun of him behind his back.

Tracy Claeys started his stint with one of the least-secure contracts in the country, played under an AD that didn't hire him, and ended his season with some very negative publicity. Minnesota did have nine wins, but they beat some really bad teams, though Northwestern is OK. They lost to anyone with a heartbeat.

This was inevitable.

But it's their 2nd best win total since 1905...think about that for a minute. And the best for 13 years.

This is Minnesota. At least Cleays was an improvement over Jerry Kills, but I'm not convinced they can find someone better at this point.

The goober act works for dabo, I think it will continue to do well for fleck. College kids eat that shut up, pros not so much.

Nah, Kill is a good coach and this was still largely his team and staff. If he had remained healthy enough to stay, I think they would've won 9 games anyway.

He might've even been able to avoid the 4th qtr implosion at Camp Randall to end the season.
