Mini-melt inside - it's not O's fault, but damn it, I'm mad.

I'm not mad at O. I love O. I love that O loves us back. He's not my problem, and I truly want him to do great. It would make me so happy to eat crow about this. I think everyone can admit to that much, at least.

If anything I feel bad for him, because I feel like our cheese dick administration put him into a no-win situation.

I'm mad at the process. I'm mad at the lack of a fricking plan when we had months to come up with a strategy for selecting our next coach. I'm retroactively mad about Florida, Miles, and everything that led to Alleva saying the words, "we had no choice."

Luckily, I have months to rationalize and perform the necessary mental gymnastics to make myself feel positive about this.

My heart is in full support, even if my mind thinks we're fricked. Prove me wrong, Coach. Please.

You should be mad. Alleva hired a position coach to lead our team for 5 years.

Alleva is on the cutting edge. Put head coaching prospects as coordinators and position coaches as head coaches. The system works bc when you have to fire a head coach you just promote from within. Seamless transition.

You are like the third guy all day to separate your anger at the process from your feelings about Coach O. It is infinitely unfair and destructive that so may fans have placed the sins of Les Miles (offense, qb play) and Joe Aleeva on the shoulders of our new head coach.

Everybody deserves a fresh start and Coach O has never done ANYTHING except his very best for LSU. This is bush league treatment of a guy who deserves a clean slate and nothing less. Just like we all get when we start a new gig.

I agree - there's no sense in bashing the guy who's guilty of accepting his dream job and doing the best he can for our team.
