I'll preface this by saying I'm not in favor of it. I think Miles is a good guy, and he's funny as hell but I've watched enough LSU football to know I don't want him as the head coach of the Trojans.

USC fan site reignoftroy.com's Alicia de Artola says he fits some of the criteria that USC is looking for though. LINK

The poll at the bottom shows 80% in favor.

This shows how desperate things have become for some fans. Crazy thing is, if we can string three wins together we'll have beaten ucla, won the P12 Championship game and likely a New Year's Day Bowl.

IF that happens, the interim Head Coach, Clay Helton, has made one hell of a case for himself.

I thought this was going to be about South Carolina. It made me happy for Miles. I can't imagine him going to USC. Would be curious about the reaction (I'd be even more happy for him than South Carolina).

But I thought Les is a great coach.

Why would you not want him at USC?

If you mean Les is a great quote, that's probably more accurate. One of my favorites was one he gave during an interview when he was asked about Hurricane Katrina:

"The only thing I know is it's very sincere and it's, it's uh, it affects more than Louisiana and it affects (muffled pause) ... the ocean."

So there's that.

Good luck with that. Can't imagine a more opposite fit.

Once they start digging, it will be a no go. Like someone said a very opposite fit

I like it. Double Whammy. LSU gets rid of Miles and eliminates USC as a competitor in attracting a new coach.

Peveto as your OC and you've got a solid combo there.

How?

He has 10 win seasons in the SEC West, played for a natty and won one.

What more could you want?

Les could kill it in the Pac. Stanford and USC have both had real success there with a power run game.

It better displays what most of the country thinks of Miles and LSU right jow. Perusing g other teams oards, many around the country cannot fathom LSU running off Miles.

They don't see the issues with the team week to wek, but firing a guy with his record is a bold move for fans of almost all programs.

I would have to agree. Miles doesn't seem like someone that would enjoy living in Los Angeles.
