It's somehow comforting to see that Tennessee fans are every bit as stupid as LSU fans.
they're far worse, they actually thought they had a shot at Gruden. And once they get their hopes up on that pipe dream, any other guy is Gunna became disappointment. It's their own fault.

I am still all in on Gruden.

Strong/Fisher would also be acceptable to me though.

Local kids to Knoxville are kids located within a four circle of the city. this includes NC/SC/AL/GA/VA. He he targets THESE local kids he would do fine.

If Al Golden can do this and pick a few up from his ties in South Florida then watch out

Again what burned Fulmer was going all over the country for players.

This is all pie in the sky... Tennessee needs a Charlie Stong right now. A real SEC guy.

Owe, I know...how about that goofy dude from Okie State?

BHP.....those three went to states loaded with in state talent. Tennessee is far from that.

You're wrong.

Golden can recruit with the big boys nationally with the money at his disposal at UT. He made Temple relevant and good. He has NOTHING at Miami and is doing a good job.

ok. We'll have to see. shite Temple was awful but was in a state with talent and he made them relevent. Miami has tons of talent in that area.

Tennessee is a ghost town for big time recruits. My only point. If he can pull from everywhere, then he should do okay.

far more likely, and both would be homerun hires.

Not according to Rivals. Tennessee as a state has enough talent to support a team.

LINK

The State of LA for comparison.

If this is true, Tennessee is DONE. Golden isn't very good. The man never beat a MAC team with a winning record at Temple while Temple had the biggest football budget, best recruiting, etc. in that conference. And, while his Miami teams are short on talent, the coaching there leaves a lot to be desired. He's nothing like a Hugh Freeze.

I actually really like Al Golden, still. Miami is a dying program and he walked right into a grenade there. I think he can be a good one for some team if they give him a shot.

Jimbo ain't moving for Rocky Top. No offense but that's not even a lateral job at the moment.

I would want Gruden too but he just likes to play footsie to keep his name out.

Strong would be my target at this point.

It has never been as bad as posters on this board make it out to be.

3 first round picks last year were from the State of TN. It's not enough to fill a roster, but it's a solid base if you can lock down the state.

I disagree... I think if he stays we are turning the program around... Shannon left us with nothing..

Golden would be a positive hire. Players love him and he is really good at turning a program with nothing/near nothing into a contender.

I mean we had decent year this year.. above expectations and we will have 20 out of 22 starters returning next year(and this does not include Duke) and are set up to only get better

Wonder what he could do with an offense with 9 NFL players? More than Dooley did last year iyo?
