No one knows what is really going on.....my best guess is that DB thought he had agreement with harbaugh and harbaugh asked to coach stanford in bcs game and keep it on the downlow but SF job opened up and harbaugh backed out...either miles played mich for more LSU $ or DB gave the appearance of goin after miles to appease the miles crowd at mich and wanted hoke all along...IMO if thats true DB shuda just hired hoke as soon as harbaugh said no and told evrybody to shut the frick up-back our coach or kiss my arse-the factions at mich are a byproduct of carr back stabbin rrod and makes us look like mich st...hoke will get many good asst. and it appears DB is going back to carr version 2

Ain't that the truth. This board is living proof. I think Harbaugh is screwing the pooch going to NFL. Maybe he'll pull a Saban and after a year of misery come back home.

If Hoke is the man, what is the hold up? Time is in short supply in regards to signing recruits. Brandon is going to out-smart himself out of a job if he don't get this done.

If Hoke is the man, what big recruits are coming to play for a guy with 2 winning seasons in the MAC and one in the MWC? 47-50 does not scream "play for me!" Brandon is in no rush over recruiting because the walk ons that are coming are coming for a school not a coach anyways!

Fair enough, but you got to start somewhere. And wasting this time isn't going to help Hoke...who will already be in a tough position.

JMHO. Best of luck.

Everything I am reading from Mich fans, boards, tweets, etc. says Hoke will not be a popular hire and the fanbase will be united in disapproval. It's a dead period until the 13th right now, so Hoke wont be able to contact recruits anyways.

Whether you're pleased with Miles or not, we can unite in our hope that ESPN will once and for all STFU regarding LSU coaching decisions.

Yeah, like that's gonna happen.

I agree with Prof Tiger 1000% that's what I'd like to see happen.

I just don't think anything will change ESPN as long as they continue to employ the same collection of whiny, arrogant bumblers they have now.

I have no idea what the "hold up" is or for that matter what the "plan" is/was....reports outta detroit and ann arbor media is that the "pizza plane" is on its way to San Diego....also agree with the anti ESPN "journalistic accumen" ie mon they say miles will accept mich job if offered and tues they say miles turned mich down.

Hahaha...so much for the hold up, eh? Makes that "Hoke was the man all along" theory look even better.

I actually like Michigan and their tradition. But if what I'm hearing about Brandon not really wanting to hire Miles and was after Hoke all along...it makes me wonder. Miles has a much better resume and a NC to boot. To not really consider Miles because you want Hoke is plain nuts.

I dont think we will ever know if DB offered the job to Miles or not..I mentioned that some in the Mich area (mostly anti Mich media types)are suggesting that Hoke was the man all along and the "search: was largely a sham....more true Blues would have rather had Miles, including me....take a look at the top 10 and tell me how many of these coaches were "sexy hires"..chdzic (sp)?chip kelly?patterson?peterson? tressel? bielema?...here at Mich the ONLY "sexy hire" we've had in 100 yrs is RROD
