funny how things have changed in the past month

Gus seems safe
USC is the hottest team right now so no change there

Texas I think is 60/40 on opening up. I think they beat Baylor this weekend so who knows

Oregon is 50/50. Huge buyout

Don't think ND is firing Kelly

Anyone else?

in six games Baylor has played four teams that currently have a 1-6 record.

Northwestern State (1-6)
SMU (3-4)
@ Rice (1-6)
OK State (5-2)
@ Iowa State (1-6)
Kansas (1-6)

that seems almost impossible.

Texas
Houston
Baylor
Oregon
Rutgers
Purdue
Notre Dame
Arizona
UCLA

And then whatever openings are created by those schools hiring someone.

Chris Ash isn't getting fired after 1 year
Rich Rod should be fine. This is his 1st bad year. They have also had a ton of injuries.

I think that Texas will beat Baylor this weekend, too. However, I think that it's near 100% certainty that Strong will be fired.

He would be if I had anything to say about it.

I hear snippets of info from people with "connections" - friends of friends type scenarios - that say Ash has the potential to turn things around; he's bright; he's dedicated; he can recruit... etc.

I wouldn't have hired Ash in the first place, so I'm not a great judge, but based on what I've seen, I really would consider giving him the boot.

Depending on how Arkansas finishes, is there a chance Bielema is shown the door? Or is that more of a next year type thing?

Edit: And Steve Addazio is not looking to hot at Boston College right now either.

Bert has too big of a buyout to be let go anytime soon, Arkansas probably looking at 2020

Didn't know that, just looked it up

the contract's buyout terms are extremely friendly to Bielema, who would be owed $15.4 million if he's fired any time before 2018 and a minimum of $7.9 million if if he's fired any time before 2020.

The ND fans all want Kelly fired but the AD pledged to keep him. If you read the AD's statement it seems like much more than a typical vote of confidence. Next year Kelly will be like Muschamp in 2014 where everybody knows you should have been fired, the fans are revolting against your retention but you're back anyway.

Oregon maybe 65% chance of change. I'd say about 85% chance of change if it weren't for their historic love if coaching continuity. Texas there is about a 99.9999999999% chance of change. The BC job will likely be open and GT might be as well.
