And you let the fans hire the next football coach?

The hire is a microcosm of all that is wrong with LSU and the state of Louisiana.

It doesn't have to be this way.

ETA for the slow ones here: Microcosm - a community, place, or situation regarded as encapsulating in miniature the characteristic qualities or features of something much larger.

The three lowest states in literacy also have the highest number of something else. I'll let you figure the other out.

LSU is a flailing institution academically and athletically. Do you disagree?

If you try pointing this out, you're called an "elitist".

I guess wanting the fricking population to know how to read means you're 'an elitist. I don't know anymore. frick this fan base. fricking idiots.

Again. Show me where this is the fans fault?

This is like blaming the fans for the standing ovation for Miles. Alleva decided in the third quarter of that game Miles would be retained. Before any of that happened.

It's not like Fisher had a pen in his hand until Alleva read a bunch of emails from fans so he nixed the deal.

It's silly.

What I agree with is that you are projecting your fear and anxiety onto Coach O.

I will renew my LSU tickets and make my annual contribution AND LSU will have Guice and 2017 will be great as an underdog that took shite for nine months and is ready to unleash the hounds. Yesterday the oldest Pimpette received her Honors college letter and a top scholarship award. It doesn't feel like "flailing" to me. Sorry, I just feel happy and optimistic.

When was the last time LSU won as an underdog?

I'll hang up and listen.

So no facts here, just emotion.

LSU as an institution is factually flailing all over the place.

As of right now, there is no evidence of recovery.

The two clearly go hand in hand. The media and LSU Spin posts on FB are full of people cheering this decison. At least with my Dad being a UT graduate I'll have a NC team to cheer for in a couple of years when Herman and Aranda start dominating that weak arse conference.

If my kids end up going to LSU for academics, I've failed as a parent.

Football is just following the academics.
