Herman is going to UT. We just can't offer him what they can

Going to cost us a cool 6 mil/year for jimbo. Not sure it's worth it.

Paying him 6 million is better than the alternatives.

I can't understand it but I still feel like we will be settling with Jimbo. I agree I don't think he is worth 6 million a year. It just feels like more of the same.

agree completely. we'll be different, but at the end of the year i dont think our record will be any better. i might honestly take a chance with mullen or gundy if we could keep aranda, O, and raymond.

Good god our fans . . . more of the same?!

Les Miles has developed 4 first round draft picks at the QB position? Les is known as on of the best offensive play callers and halftime adjusters in college football? Jimbo's problem is his defense is shite. They don't have a Chavis or Aranda and he doesn't touch defense, like Miles never touched defense, which is the only thing that would be the same.

What would be different is that we would have a competent offensive philosophy/execution. Combine that with the administrations commitment to hire the best DC they can, and you have a consistently competitive program.

Yep, let's just give up since Texas lost a game. Even though we have no idea if they will fire their coach or if they even want Herman. Time to just move on. SMH...idiot.

JIMBO SUX

hasn't won any division (4) or conference titles (3) or nattys (1)

cannot develop QB's. Fn sux arse.

ONLY won the sec west every other year he coached at LSU

01, 03 and 05. Miles was winning west every other year since 1-9 right?

any dumbass who thinks mullen is better

Mullen is my 2nd tier choice also.

Herman by far, then Jimbo, but I have Mullen 3rd over the Whittingham Fedora type crowd.

Mullen did it at Fla, was young when took over MSU, immediately improved, was competent win or lose with limited talent, took them to #1, gave a great Bama team a good game,etc..

Mullen at an LSU..competent and elite HC.

and hes only 44. just keeping Clanga competitive in the SECW is borderline miraculous, much less having them number 1 in the country for 5 weeks last year.

If it is Jimbo, part of the contract needs to make sure that he leaves that crappy FSU DC behind. He'd be much worse than Tepper ever thought about being.

Good. We will take him in a heartbeat. He may just a need new scenery at a program not afraid to pay assistant coaches and coordinators top dollar. I will be glad if we get him off your hands:)>

Ha, Mississippi State fans want rid of Mullen. I'm sure he's the best guy to take over LSU. Give me a break.

If jimbo comes I think aranda will be retained. Current dude was a promotion from within after pruitt left.

if we miss on Herman, Jimbo would be a good choice. Just wouldn't overpay for him. Mullen, Peterson and Fedora would be just as good of choices as Jimbo IMO. Jimbo is solid, but I just got a bad vibe that if we pull out the stops for him and throw the bank at him we are going to wind up looking like fools and regret it.
