looking probable that both a&m and UT will have head coach openings this time next year. and with that, its possible that SMU and UH have openings. is it possible that both UT and a&m could make big time hires? if herman or morris or both end up in different jobs after next year, is there any one to watch who they would target?

UT vs A&M in a bidding war for Kelly (or Herman) would be really, really interesting.

Million dollar question is Sumlin going to get a new OC for next year to turn things around. Kinda the same situation at LSU

I don't know what quality OC would work for the quarterback ruiner.

Chad Morris went 2-10 this year and ended with a 63-0 loss to Memphis. I'd wait until he can get to a bowl with SMU before being comfortable hiring him

That's rich coming from a program who has QB mass exodus

I'm really curious to see which program will turn into the bigger shite show by the end of next year. Should be a glorious trainwreck for the entire state

would A&M retread the "hot coach from Houston with a great offense" again?

When he had other coaches' qb on which to lean, he certainly was.

Everyone knows June Jones stopped recruiting. Morris has no talent.

Morris and SMU will be awful next year also. He has to fix the Defense and he cant do that in 2 classes. It will take 3 to do it, and SMU will give him the time, unless they keep giving up 50 plus in big games and the Offense stalls out. Unless aTm or UT get desperate Morris is not leaving the UP/HP area.

Im going with these picks based off the past if aTm and/or Texas makes a change next year.

Texas will go Larry Fedora
Won at FBS P5 level, recruits well, has won multiple places, retraces Mack somewhat (besides the UNC connection), possible sanctions to program, not really old but not an up and comer.

aTm will go Jeff Brohm
Great offense, QB guy, played QB, has won conference championships, wont need Texas ties completely.

I think Morris will get SMU to 7-6 next season, but I agree that either way it won't be good enough for UT and A&M to come calling. He won't get that phone call for another 2-3 seasons, but I think Morris will eventually turn SMU around.

Morris' turaround will time well with Les retiring or resigning. He and Mike Norvell will be the two big mid major names at that point.
