I almost want it to be Riley more for the melt from what seems to be a fanbase on the verge of coming completely unglued than for what he would do at a superior program like LSU.

In all seriousness, I know you don't think it is Riley, but let's pretend it is.
Do you expect him to just...stop coaching? Hop on a plane and leave? Not do his shows? Like, the man is a professional head coach of a massive football program. He's going to do his job to the best of his ability.

The “insider” with 15 posts said he inked the deal this evening. He was actually surrounded by media all afternoon and did his normal coaches show this evening. He must have had a lot of time to sign that secret deal. Anyway, if you guys want some real insider information from a non insider but just so happens to know a family member of a candidate, y’all are going to find out Sunday if it’s not leaked before. Pro tip tho: it’s not Riley.

Correct. He could sign a MOU or Term Sheet. No legal ramifications there most likely under his employment agreement with OU. It’s an agreement to become an employee of LSU at a future date, therefore not in breach of his employment agreement like, e.g., overlapping employment. Now, that piece of paper is of little value in itself but nonetheless it’s nice to have.
