Gents, I know it's fun to speculate about what contracts and/or terms are being negotiated. The truth is, this has all be ironed out already. The chances that the numbers or terms are still being debated by whomever the agent and/or coach is is silly. In all likelihood, the only thing left to do is wait for signatures. Now, who signs and who doesn't, I don't know. But I have a hard time believing that terms with each coach haven't been agreed upon. It's just a matter of selecting who it is, having them accept and signing the contract. Details are more than likely, already in place.

Should have happened over the last eight weeks, but didn't. We let Miles go to have a head start. For some reason, Joe bet on O winning out.

We've seen like 3 different threads "of people in the know" with all different statements.. Hard to believe anyone on here anymore. And I'm usually pretty vulnerable when it comes to stuff like this.

All I know is the second I leave a thread and put my phone down, my excitement leaves and I think "yeah, nothing I just read for 20 minutes is true. It was fun though. Nobody knows shite and we will probably get Orgeron or Fedora."

It is obvious. Joe, in his infinite wisdom, has messed up not one, but two chances to hire a new coach and get someone other than Ed O or the field. If this were the real world, he would have been on performance review after the first screw up, and now after this obviously poor showing he would be shown the door.

After all that, we should probably wait and see what happens, but right now I don't feel great about.

You work for a much more efficient operation than the LSU athletic department.

If you believe what Dellenger (sp) said, their had been no search until after the game Saturday. Up until they point they were prepared to give it to CEO. I find it hard to believe that no communication had been made before then.

For all we know, this shite probably was ironed out weeks ago. I really think that whoever the coach is, he agreed to terms 2-4 weeks ago. It was just a matter of keeping the team motivated with O, just had a unfortunate side effect of our more idiotic fan falling in love with the guy.

Like I said, I really think whoever it is agreed to the terms weeks ago. Now, they may have even played it better and got multiple coaches to agree to terms and just have to pick which they want and have them sign. Remember the "hand shake agreements" report on both Herman and Fisher? Maybe we're all the idiots and Alleva played this thing masterfully. Doubtful, but maybe. I just think it's already decided and the only thing left to do is sign paper work. All the bullshite by writers and bloggers is a day late and a dollar short.

I have a very hard time believing that a person had little to no plan other than an interim coach winning all of his games against ranked opponents in that final stretch. It's almost impossible for me to believe. Our administration would have to be the dumbest people on the planet.

With that being said, I think it's possible.

It was probably ironed out several weeks ago when Alleva thought O would win out or lose 1. When that didn't happen Alleva went all Brandon Harris in the pocket and shite himself. And now he's circled back to O because he didn't lock down a big hire while he had the time.
