I think maybe too much is being read into this. Les frequently uses this plane and this speaking engagement has been on his schedule for a while. Thus the plane has probably been booked for this trip for a while. It would make no sense for Zuschlag to call up Les at the last minute and tell him that we're sorry but you can't use our plane because you're talking to Michigan.

with that said, it would be in incredibly bad taste and against what we know to be Les' character. MI has more and better planes, if he was going to MI I suppose he would be using one of them
