Texas really screwed the pooch on the timing of their hire, waiting until the dead period to begin the process. Whether it was Mack's fault for taking so long to retire or not. Not having the ability to recruit until Jan. 15 is harmful.

I neither think Miles is stupid nor imply it. I think he is soft and has become a good yet not great in-game coach.

I will subscribe to the LHN just to see his daily media sessions if this occurs. I'm still 100% convinced Saban is the HC by the end of this week, but Miles would make me just as happy.

Fiery pregame speeches don't impress me. His last few teams have played soft and lacked the killer instinct necessary to win championships on a regular basis.

Well shite man, you're comparing teams to a dynasty more likely than not. Take any school and compare them to Alabama in the last 5 years.
LSU has faired the best, and is in direct competition with them.
He had the team in 11 but shite happens and we lost on 1/9. Was still the national coach of the year.
In 12 had the d but not the qb.
13 had the qb and no d.
14 our qb will be young.
15 we will be in the playoffs.
Extremely successful

Although I dont want him to, I wouldnt blame him one bit if he left. With the beating he has taken down here through the years. He has got to be the the most under appreciated coaches in the history of mankind.
