Houston is probably looking for someone that won't get poached and be happy to be there, wouldn't be a bad fit.

a good spot for him and his newfound love of the spread offense.

I like the idea of UH going after an older guy who's less likely to bolt, but Les is such a strange match.

Fertitta was on the radio yesterday basically implying that the next guy isn't going to use this job as a stepping stone, they'll make sure of it.

and how will they do that? they're gonna make the buyout extremely hard to deal with for any school wanting to poach.

or they hire someone like miles where they know he doesnt want to bounce and this will most likely be his last coaching stop

He needs to go somewhere where the standard isn't too high. Happy with bowl wins. Man it sounds like I'm throwing shade but I'm really trying not to. Houston wouldn't be bad for him. He can whip on Tulane again.

Don't need him recruiting that area at anytime regardless of his coaching ability

Miles has always recruited Houston well.

Wonder if complete scouting services is still in business.

Would be a horrible hire in my opinion. Trying to find a guy who will stay forever instead of the guy who will win is bad business. I mean even with Herman leaving after two years look at all the growth they have seen as far as perception. They fired the last guy who was there for the long run problem is he didn't win big enough

Houston isn't just happy to win bowls. If that was true they wouldn't have fired Tony Levine after just 3 seasons.
