Serious question, Dale. If Les jumps to Arky, do you think honey badger would follow him? I think he would. I think Les could pull off bringing him back on the the team if in Arky.

Yeah, I get all that. They also arbitrarily added about 600 miles to the trip, saying that an 1200 mile round trip was 1800 miles. I read Texarkana was in a dry county at that time as well. Really makes me think that they picked it solely for the song.

I think he will just enter the draft, same with Dyer.

One reason they picked Atlanta was because a new interstate was being built and it made for prime filming location, they didn't have to shut down any highways or anything like that.

My favorite is Hal Needham talking about how Pontiac got the Trans Am in the movie, "I didn't know what car I was going to have the Bandit drive in the movie, I woke up one morning and Pontiac had 5 brand new of these sons of bitches sitting in my front yard with a note on the window saying we can get more if you need them, well those didn't last the first day of filming."

How shitty would it be if Les weighed in on the matter seriously an said he was considering the Arkansas job?

Do you think the pressure would force LSU to match the wage Arkansas is presenting or would it go the other way?

Giving himself time to inform players that he will be departing.

Stay or go?

LSU is in no position to start a coaching search, the recruiting classes for the next two years are lined up to keep LSU in the NC hunt perennially, and the price of coaching just went up because of what has happened at our competitors programs. If LSU wants to stay at a highly competitive level then they need to pay the going rate. If that is 5mil then pay it.

Otherwise we will be the Arkansas of 2013... book it.

yeah miles really does have lsu by the nutts. lsu's recruiting base the next 2 years is filthy. can't afford to bring in a new coach now. they will pay miles. they have to and that's what he wants. and that's what we want as well

I'm thinking it will never quite be the same for Les at LSU after this little stunt.

Also, West Memphis makes Port Allen look like Cambridge, MA. True story.

Arkansas fans deserved Petrino. Such a shame that a classless group of people couldn't enjoy a dirt bag coach.

Bowie county in Texas is dry. The other half of Texarkana in Miller County, Arkansas is wet. So, if you want to buy a case of beer, you have to drive over to the Arkansas side. Of course, if you want a beer in a restaurant, you can get a beer in either state. Except, in Texas, outside the city limits in Bowie County, it requires a membership in a "private club". Of course, in the city, but still in Bowie County, no membership is required.

Got all that? It is hard to be an alcoholic in Texarkana.
