Everyone disliked les because he was overly involved in the play calling. Now everyone is labeling O as inept because it looks like he will be delegating the play calling to the coordinators. Am I wrong?

Now imagine if les were inept. It all makes sense now!

I can't get the image out of my mind of O hydrating while there was a huddle discussing the decisive play against Florida, and we fricked it up after a timeout.

You've heard that expression, "There's just no pleasing some people"?

They're talking about negatigers.

I think everyone is labeling O as inept because he's a defensive line coach & can't speak english.

I have no problem with letting your coordinators do their job. But it would be nice if our head coach knew something about the ins and outs of either the offense or defense.

So we're either supposed to:

A) enjoy having the highest paid OC with one of the worst offenses in the conference.

Or

B) enjoy hiring the back-up plan that literally no one else wanted, not even Syracuse after he openly campaigned for the job.

Sorry for wanting a Head Coach who will let his coordinators do their job but also possesses the ability to help make adjustments if said coordinators plan is not working. How silly of us.

Whole point in a head coach is to have intelligent input on game days

These comments are exactly what I'm talking about...

Be hands off but intervene on Saturday if necessary?

Be a a head coach who used to coach d line yet it is implied that he doesn't know anything about defense?

He's inept because he is a defensive coach.

He is also inept because he speaks English with a Cajun accent?

What the frick are you people talking about? None of this makes any sense.

Yes. People are doubting him because he was 10-25.

It's called a pendulum swing reaction.

Les fooled with the offense in a negative way.

So LSU decided to pay a coach to do nothing as a result.

The last time he was in complete control, that's when.

They hated Les because the offense was bad. If he was involved and knew what he was doing the probably wouldn't have cared.

The difference between Les and O is Les has won a championship here. So if he is relegated to a sort of figure head recruiting guy oh well.

O isn'y Joe Paterno or Bobby Bowden where he has earned good will enough to just be there.

O is starting out where only successful coaches end up.

9 years. The reason it's been so long is that no other AD in the country would give him another shot after that.

I'm gonna cross my fingers with Orgeron and hope he kills it. I just can't go along with people trying to frame this as a home run hire. It was a settle hire.

"Everyone" is quite a broad brush to paint with and is pretty inaccurate. There are some who don't want O because he talks with a Cajun accent while others want him because he talks with a Cajun accent. Neither one of those is a reasonable position. I've not seen many calling him inept because he wants to let his coordinators do their jobs.

The majority opinion I've seen expressed is many are upset that there was no legitimate coaching search that took place. We had months to search for a coach and there was no rush to name O right now. Yet, LSU didn't do a coaching search and rushed to name O as HC right now. Just shows the LSU administration is inept.

Why? He can't just get on the phone and tell the new guy that the guy LSU was paying close to $2 million just left. Ask if they want a shot to show what they can do with LSU's talent and if they do good they will be gone in a couple years making even more money?
