Why would Kiffin come to LSU?

If he has ambitions of being a head coach, staying at Alabama until that opportunity comes along makes the most sense.

UNLESS, they are not renewing his contract and he is to be unemployed.

Why wouldn't Houston offer Major HC job? and if they did, why wouldn't he take it?

because Applewhite doesn't have one second of head coaching experience. Yes, I realize Herman didn't either, but Houston has enough cred now to go get a decent HC without having to dip into the coordinator pool.

Coach O was given the job with the promise he would get a great OC. Applewhite does not fit that description.

But lately being from the same state as the university has been the only requirement that matters, so sign him up.

I agree that coach O has someone big locked up . I think this is why he changed his tune when it came to running the spread .

Per my inside sauce, I'm not allowed to say the name or make it obvious, however the guy below is currently in discussions with LSU for the OC position: (Hence the move to the spread vs. Pro Style)

Aranda is hopefully out of the TU OC choices as he has reportedly signed a new contract.

Kiffin has spent his time in Hell for the past 3 yeas. He deserves to be considered for some place like Baton Rouge which would be heaven compared to Tuscaloosa.

I'm all in on this!! He isn't getting a head coaching gig any time soon. We already look like a joke - bring on the backlash and the spread offense!!!

He said, in fact, that we are going to hire the best OC in the country. Kinda seems like he already knows who this is.
