So is his "source" this board?

Most reports seem to indicate that LSU and Les Miles parting ways is a matter of when, not if. 94 WIP’s Josh Innes says that when Miles is not longer employed by the university, the school is likely to call Kelly to gauge his interest in the position.

I’m normally very hesitant to pass along reports from radio hosts, because I don’t think they are as connected as beat reporters because it isn’t really their job to be. That said, this report checks out of a few levels. First of all, any college program in the country would be interested in Chip Kelly if he’s available. Secondly, Innes is from Louisiana and briefly attended LSU, so it’s very possible he does have a source in this situation. And if Kelly would leave the NFL, or be fired, LSU would be one of the more attractive potential jobs in the nation.

Chip Kelly would be a home run hire IMO. Although with his West Coast ties it seems like he'd be a likelier candidate at USC.

We wouldn't be doing a coaching search right if we didn't give him a call atleast

But I don't buy thatLSU is waiting to officially fire miles, if they know he's gone, they would reach out the Kelly already through the proper channels

His west coast ties are overrated. He's strongly tied to the New Hampshire area if theres a real "tie" .

Alleva will likely screw this up.

Jimbo will use LSU for a big raise and LSU will have missed its chance with Kelly.

Allee follow the bama michigan equation. Dump a ton of money on Kelly and make him say no.

He's a northeast guy that coaches on the west coach for 5 years

I'm not buying the Kelly to LSU thing but one could infer a level of interest given some of his over the top praise of our athletes after we played in 2011. I could see him just salavating at getting a chance to having SEC level talent all over the roster

I'm glad one person understands how terrible josh innes is. He's probably just making shite up IMO. Or literally taking it from here.

Yeah i don't think there's any question that if LSU were open and Kelly were to be fired there would be a ton of interest from both parties

What I deny is that fat frick knowing the first thing about it. Dude is a clown

I guess that means I am basically an assistant coach at LSU with my time at LSU

For the record, Josh Innes was on After Further Review today and Matt Moscona brought up Chip Kelly. I'd bet any money that Matt is his "sources".

Jump to 1:30:00 (one hour thirty) to hear the interview if you can bear it.
