All I know is that if you are against the Rooney Rule, you have to be against black coaches advancing. Just because you refuse to concede it doesn't mean anything

you think all republicans are racist, too. what a fricking joke of a poster.

But that is exactly why embree was hired, no? Because Colorado wanted a black hc? Clearly he wasn't qualified, so he was let go, like any other failing head coach. I don't get why a rule has to be made to interview black candidates exclusively. Why do other races get left out? Which one of your black friends are you trying to impress? Good coaches get interviewed, no coach should get a charity interview for no reason of merit whatsoever.

Probably so but I never thought Embree should have been hired at UC

There are mature people in positions in CFB and the NFL that have a more correct take on this stuff than you.

Your points are valid. Rocket will be along shortly to call you a racist.

ETA: Too late.

We won't get past this racial attachment to a person's abilities until we allow ourselves to. Affirmative Action policies are reverse racism and discriminitory.

It irks me to no end when blacks yell racism and discrimination, yet throw a hissy when HBCU's mention diversity. They can't get out of their own way on this issue. Equality means equality.

It's not a difficult thing to do to raise children to understand that their own merits, skills, talents, and abilities is the most important factors in their success or failure. Using a skin tone is a crutch, since we're all 99% genetically akin. Of course, politcally that doesn't play well and the gimme society that is perpetuated in the poor can't be relied on to instill self worth and self sustaining core values.

Someone may have said this earlier but I hear on First Take that since 1979 there have been 41 Black FBS head coaches hired. Only 41 hired in a period of 33 years?! That's outrageous. And, in that time span, only 1 Black head coach has been rehired as a head coach - Tyrone Willingham

Yeah, that worked out just great. So happy about that. And because of the NAACP and people like Shawn Alexander speaking out (who had no affiliation with UW), Losingham got his 4th year so he could go a wonderful 0-12.

Losingham's ineptness and the inability to fire the fraud due to political pressure set back hiring black coaches a few decades...

You and your ilk are the ones that keep racism alive. You look at David Shaw and see a "black" coach. I look at David Shaw and see a great man and a great coach, Who's keeping racism alive?

So, now one Black coach, Willingham, is the reason Black coaches aren't getting hired? But, White coaches with fathers in the coaching business like Dooley and Kiffin will continue to get hired. Sonny Dykes will likely get another head coaching job.

Black folks don't have any of the decision-making power at these universities and you know that. Folks are hiring folks who they are comfortable with; folks who look like them.

What other races will be left out? The last time I looked at big-time college football the majority of players are Black and the head coaching ranks are pretty much lily white. That's cause for concern right there. Blacks can be the labor but not the leadership?

Norm Chow is unfortunately one of the few non-White/non-Black coaches of prominence I know in college football and he was only named a head coach in his 60s. Ridiculous. And, Chow has been labeled an offensive genius/horrible recruiter, but Malzahn and Petrino have been labeled the same but one of them is presently a head coach and Petrino will be getting another head coaching job any day now.

You suck at reading comprehension. At no point have I advocated any university or NFL team hire a black coach that is less qualified than a white candidate.

I think the man asked why you aren't harping on a rule that would force NFL teams to INTERVIEW an Asian coach as well as a black coach. You have advocated the Rooney rule for about 8 pages.

That would make Rocket the guy who can't read. But then again he's for affirmative action so he's probably not even worried about people being able to read as long as a proper number of blacks were passed thru first and second grade.

Myopic thinking bro.
AA ultimately hurts those that are intended to be helped.

But once again.
Where is my fricking Norm Chow rule?
You are all fricking racists pigs, why dont you just accuse Asian coaches of being kamikazes while you're at it?
I'm thinking about a rule for lady's too. Where are the women football coaches in the NFL getting some interviews???? I smell conspiracy!!!!!

But I am glad the blacks are covered.

Maybe someone should remind him race only matters to racists.

Then throw in the fact that Chizik only got 2 years after winning a BCSCG.
