No matter the level, how the hell is this guy still a head coach?

Smith, 67, was 14-19 the past three seasons at Division II Fort Lewis (Colorado) College.

And that got him a promotion.

Fort Lewis is 10 minutes from my house. I had no idea John L. Smith was the head coach.

If he ever knocks on your door, don't let him use your bathroom.

Weird. Kentucky State is an HBCU.

Why the frick would they hire JLS?

(In addition to him just being a shitty coach)

Yeah, I guess so. Jay Hopson. Didn't know HBCU's were hiring white dudes now.

John L. Smith will probably help the KSU program. It's Division II and KSU hasn't had much success in recent years. He and Bobby Petrino work together like good-cop/bad-cop. Now that they're back in the same area, there's no telling what they'll be scheming.

Probably trying to go with a recognizable coach for recruiting purposes and he has plenty of ties to the area from when he was at UofL.

They damn near lost their accreditation in the last year or so, so we'll see how it works out. If Miles can manage to push through Tuskegee and Albany State dominating that conference then KSU could.
