that fact that stuff is leaking IMO means Sexton is stirring up chit to get a new raise and contract for Jimbo from FSU. People close to this would not be release jack chit. This is what takes a hot coach who has experience right off the market and shuts it down.

the guy who follows LSU said Herman is down the list as they want a guy who they know will be there for a long time. He felt like Herman would take it but would leave when his "dream" job came open. Whereas Jimbo was there for six years and knows the expectations.

Yeah, remember these leaks?
"A story posted on NFL.com this week said Alabama "keeps on making runs at Saban" in an effort to persuade the Miami Dolphins coach to return to college and take over in Tuscaloosa for fired Mike Shula. The same story even said an unnamed NFL head coach said Saban is getting closer to joining the Crimson Tide.
So on Thursday, Saban -- who has tried to denounce the story about him potentially going to Alabama numerous times in recent weeks -- again, and adamantly, denied that he's headed back to the college ranks.
"I guess I have to say it," Saban said. "I'm not going to be the Alabama coach."
