Every coach is not plug-and-play into every school. Parker is part of Ferentz's system. Also, their horrible offense is not an accident - it's on purpose and part of the reason for their great defense.
Not saying Parker isn't a great coach, but systems don't always travel.

Iowa's defense has allowed 3.99 yards per play while being on the field 99% of the time. That ypp is tied for the lowest in the last 10 or so years.
And this year easnt an anomaly. They've been posting similar ypp like that for the last 5 years

They don’t typically face a murderer’s row of offenses and recruiting would be an issue. There’s no way you could bring that entire staff here. They have no connections in the south and don’t tend to recruit on a level that will work in the SEC.
We need someone who brings a great college defensive system, a great staff and top level recruiting.
