Per Schefty

quote:

Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh is meeting later today with the Los Angeles Chargers in his first interview of this hiring cycle, per league sources.

A decision is not expected to be imminent for either side. Harbaugh will be deliberate with any decision he makes about his future. The Chargers still are going a through interview process and have other candidates that they plan to speak with.

Like you need to "interview" Harbaugh.

It's either he accepts what you offering or not there is no interviewing a candidate like Harbaugh because he has all the leverage.

If he takes the job wonder which direction Michigan goes.

Do they hire Moore?

If they do it'll only be for a couple of years. He's never been a head coach at any level and has only been a coordinator for 2 years. But the kids love him so administration will likely put its tail between its legs and hope for the best.

Basically, we have our candidate, but we don’t want to run afoul of that Rooney Rule!

So Mr. Harbaugh… where do you see yourself in 5 years? Can you tell me about a time you had to with with a difficult team mate and were able to overcome and achieve success?

Hire Moore until it doesn't work out then wait for the next crop of up and coming coaches.

Michigan got their title, they should be happy for the next 29 years or so or until Ohio State wins their next one

I would be pretty pissed and happy if I was Michigan.
JH got run out of San Fran and Michigan hired him and held on to him when things were a little wobbly several years ago. He wins a title and he wants to go back to the NFL. What a douche. It's a little like Saban but Saban hadn't had a try as an NFL HC yet. JH has been in the NFL already and only took San Fran as far as they did because of Kapernick and people didn't know how corral him.

Weird logic here. You definitely see things in a different way.

If I were him I’d be “interviewing” everywhere to drive up the price

More like he took Michigan out of the wilderness they’d been in since the App State loss and brought them a championship. Michigan was irrelevant before Harbaugh got there. They had to know it was temporary… He’s always been an NFL guy. You thank him for coming back and doing this and you say good luck.

Yea the headline should be:

“Jim Harbaugh interviewing the Chargers”

If harbaugh is really meeting with an nfl team, you have to think he is gone.

Does he bring the signal stealers with him?

Why would he, there's no need for sign stealers in the NFL

If I were a fan of Mich, having to deal with the rumors every year would be frustrating. Let Him Go

The only reason kaepernick was ever relevant was because of Harbaugh. You saw what happened after he left.

Proven winner at the NFL level, just butted heads with the GM.

He wins a title and he wants to go back to the NFL.

Michigan was lucky to have Harbaugh.

only took San Fran as far as they did because of Kapernick and people didn't know how corral him.

Alex Smith was 6-2 when he got the concussion. Kaepernick made the most of his chance and won the starting position.
