Well, that's interesting, especially if Joker leaves.

As good of a program as Karr has been in the past year, they have taken a step back since Juluke's departure....He has been a student of the game for numerous years...

In all fairness, you don't find many homerun hires as a TE coach. Coaching is nice but Miles has coached that position before and in the NFL. You want a recruiter more than anything in this position and I think Juluke fits it well. We rarely throw to TEs anyway. But yea, Miles could pick any slack up in that area I'm sure...it's one of the lowest positions on every staff basically.
The Juluke hire is most likely to give Frank help in NO, lock down some future Karr recruits(they have a few) and help in N LA.

Wouldn't mind Juluke but why not just pitch the job to Derek Lewis and make him say no? He's from NO and likely would bring Gerald Willis back with him. We should be able to pay more than UF. Even if its only for a year, if it brings Willis back then its a good deal. Not like TE coaches are huge coaching hires unless you're Missouri, Stanford or Iowa. (Maybe a few others)

quote:Yeah boy, let's hire a high school coach that was a Safety in college to coach Tight Ends at a Top 15 college football program.
He doesn't have any TE position experience.
LSU as a program is above that now and I don't think Cam Cameron would sink that low.
Want a TE coach, then hire a TE coach that has played and/or coached the position in college or the NFL.

You do understand TE coach is a glorified label in most capacities. Most of the time they end up being the special teams coordinator. The biggest duty of all usually ends up as a recruiter. I'm not defending JJ , but TE coaching experience should not be considered his biggest knock.
