And Strong still employed.
A 48 hr timeframe likely too tight to fire Strong and hire Herman. Would look real bad for UT even if they could pull it off that quick b/c would be obvious they were dealing behind Strong's back.

It's also been rumored that Herman has a meeting scheduled with Texas this evening. If so, LSU's presser at noon indicates Herman is going to Texas. Maybe Texas is smart enough to have the new coach in hand before firing the current one?
