Nope just logic.

Then again, Miles is our HC... Therefore throw that out the window

He brought about the demise of our offense

He and Miles argue during games a lot, causing miscues such as the Ole Miss debacle

Belowpar

Why would you retain this guy?

I wouldn't keep Crowton. As an earlier post said, we finished 107th in the country. Nothing else matters, and Crowton has to take the blame. If we get another OC and finish 107 next season, Miles gets the blame and the boot.

Assuming the credibility of Belowpar and other posters is valid, the only thing that can probably be confirmed is that LSU has been in contact with several coaches. But even if this were 100% confirmed, it does not mean that they were interviewed to replace Crowton.

For instance, Belowpar says LSU has been in contact with Kragthorpe. Everyone's first thought (mine included) is that it would be to replace Crowton. But it could be that he would be QB coach/Assistant Head coach if we were to come, and that Crowton is staying.

Bottom line, while LSU has likely been talking to a lot of coaches about available positions, part of that was simply because there were two openings (to replace McCarthy & Porter). I don't think anybody who posts on Tiger Droppings really can confirm the exact nature of who has been contacted and what position they are specifically being offered.

That response is competent, well thought out and articulated.

You sir, have no place on tigerdroppings. Run while you can.

Am I the only one that's upset that we have one of the highest paid offensive coordinators in the country and one of the worst offenses in the country? Why is anyone content with this?

I want to hear the argument for why this offense is going to just get better. Is Crowton just going to magically learn to develop quarterbacks? Is our offensive line going to get better somehow? Why is this trend of regression going to be broken?

Can't go anywhere but up. Miles job will be safe for another year.

I'll be glad if he hangs on to Crowton. If he lets him go, we might actually improve and we'll have to hang on to Miles even longer.

Heck, if I could go back in time to last year, I'd be praying that he kept Malveto. I'm thinking another year with them, with Crowton giving us a 100+ ranked offense, and we'd have won 5 games at most and Miles would only have one foot left in the door.
