is his dead weight as a recruiter offset by the awesome play of the TE's and QBs

Miles seems to think so.

maybe a better recruiter doesn't get played bc they do a better job, um recruiting

You think this kid was recruited only by Ensminger? The whole staff was on him. Miles had an in home with him last week after he cancelled Brown's in home visit and "sured up" his commitment. Davis talked to coaches last night and told them he was signing with LSU at 10:30. The kid and his coach played LSU.

You can blame that on Ensminger if you want but it's a pointless exercise because he isn't going anywhere no matter how unimportant you think he is.

At the end of the day the top 2 prospects in his area are playing elsewhere.

Yeah DP named some guys in defense of ensminger but the names ended up making more of a case against him.

His claim to fame this year was being haley's back up for liggins. But who worked on the family and hosted them all weekend on his OV? Haley.

Maybe Steve's contribution was driving brick so he could nap on the way to Oxford,so I guess that's vital.

He really pissed me off today trying to pass blame off on the fans because of the negativity, that's weak sauce.

While I don't think you should single out fans, exclusively, it's worth nothing that multiple players have tweeted as much lately. I'm sure it's tiresome for them to come here, for instance, and see pages and pages of people bashing on them, saying they sucked, etc... after they go 13-0 and play for a National Title.

Some of it comes with the territory, yes. But a lot of it is really excessive and annoying.

People were calling for the guy's head a few seasons ago and we recruited fine.

UGA continues to recruit fine despite all the negativity over there.

Don't blame the fans.

I agree that the negativity isn't deal breaker with recruiting, but its aggravating as shite and doesn't help any.

There's already people bashing Liggins because he's a "mobile" QB. Eventually that kind of stuff wears on fans and players.

well, thats what happens. fans criticize players, recruiting websites criticize players, come practice time the coaches will criticize players

thats part of being a high profile athlete today

Criticism does come with the territory, and a fair measure of it is fine.

But a lot of time what happens is really excessive, IMO.

Well, the type of seasons those came from, warranted vast criticism. They were mediocre efforts from elite programs.

I'm not saying players and coaches should never be criticized, but a lot of people can't see the forest from the trees... and there's very little middle ground.

Midseason, Miles was the greatest coach in LSU history, didn't have a flaw and every sang his praises to an extreme. Now, a lot of people want him fired or are worried about him.

Both are opinions way far to each extreme.

i agree, but i think most of the harsh stuff is directed at coaches, not players. or is that what youre saying?

Yeah, most of the really harsh stuff is for the coach... and JJ (but that's another story).

But I still think a lot of it is really over the top.

Les has to realize the momentum he has been losing in recruiting lately.

That certainly is not a given. In fact, it's doubtful.

I think there is a very, very good chance that the staff as is will reel in a tremendous class next year.

no whats changed from last years class and this years class is the class isn't as deep as last year. Also I am not gonna point out the obvious.

Henson or Brewster would be a definite upgrade, but according to those supposedly in the know its not gonna happen.

Stud's gonna get a $500k raise so he can focus more on his genius WR line passes and less on stupid stuff like recruiting.
