Is Greg Schiano vehemently against coaching in college again?

Is this the reason his name has not been thrown around more for coaching vacancies in the past couple of seasons? Or, is he done with coaching at any level and just transitioning to the analyst side of things, Gruden style?

No, but the jobs he would take aren't offering.

It makes sense, I guess. I'm just surprised his name wasn't mentioned with Miami or UGA more. Does he want to stay in the NFL?

I think his stint in tampa hurt his Q rating a lot more than a typical "college coach who failed in the NFL" experiences.

He interviewed with USC and Miami but did not get an offer.

He's an enormous a-hole. I'm sure he's not the best interviewee.

He is a huge a-hole. All the pro scouts hated him with a passion over his silly, petty rules that he laid down when it came to them watching his practices. He hurt many of his players as a lot of scouts just stopped going to his practices. Pro players had nothing good to say about him as well.

He was the most hated coach in the league by his players. They quit trying on him.

He had insane rules for every aspect of Rutgers' program too is what I was told. Micro-managed coaches, etc.

In his effort to come off as a bad-arse, hard-nosed, tough coach, he came off entirely as just an a-hole.

He's burned bridges in the pros and in college, and most people who have anything to say about him can't stand him.

Any coaching ability is overshadowed by his unbearable personality.

He wouldn't take that job, IMO.

He also leaked private health information in college and the pros to try and make points with players. He's been nuclear because of it.

This.

He was universally hated by players and fellow coaches.

Many on his own staff detested him.

Never a good sign.

Yep.

I was wondering why he seemingly can't get a job the last 2 years, but it's become apparent that he either has skeletons, burned too many bridges, is a colossal a-hole, or all of the above.

I thought he did this huge PR type thing last year where he went around the country to a bunch of college (and maybe pro) programs learning how to reform for the future. Here is something on it.

Yep. I linked that MMQB article a few weeks ago when his name was popping up for different vacancies. It was actually a pretty good idea by him in order to prep for interviews, but it looks like his past demeanor is too much to overcome.
