Is Arkansas is panic mode?

Seems they have since september to get their ducks in a row and are basically not getting anything done.
Do Arky fans actually think their AD can get a big name to their school or is it going to be underwhelming.
Im not trying to down your school but yall are just not one of those desirable schools coaches flock to. I know yall have the money but most of these coaches already have that money.

They've had 6 months to look for a coach. Not looking good.

Not worried at all. I'm sure there are some who are worried, but I trust our AD.

It's really interesting to me that they haven't hired anybody yet.
I don't think it's that they can't make a good hire, it's that they're really out there shaking the trees trying to hire someone that might be above their heads right now..and by that I don't mean that there is no value in the Arkansas program, I just mean they're going after guys who'd be silly to leave the job they're currently at.

Gruden has a buddy in ark with a lot of property and reports are that there is a new structure going up in the shape of a house (possibly a barn).

You do know that there is still a week left in the season right? Most of the coaches that us, Tennessee and Auburn are after are coaching this weekend. Long has said all along and reiterated on Sunday that we wont make a hire until after he season is over. He specifically said 10-14 days after this past Sunday. I'm not sure where all of this sky is falling stuff is coming from personally.

But, the coaches they would want HAD jobs. It is not as if any of those coaches would have entertained the idea during their seasons.
For example: IF they wanted Les Miles....do you think Miles would have had conversations about the job before this season ended? No way. They would NOT have had an opportunity to "fill" the job with Miles prior to now.
Same with any successful current coach

We'll end up with the best coach of all the new coaching hires in the SEC...
AND
We'll make a couple schools pay extra money for coaches they're not 100% sure they're happy with.

It's part of the game. Just because info doesn't leak doesn't mean there isn't info.

no, we're not even close to panic mode- or the sane people aren't anyway.
we're listed as the #2 most desirable opening right now, pretty sure we'll come out with someone good. i didn't want les (nor do i know any hog fan who did) so certainly todays news didn't make us panic.

Arkansas is in no hurry to name the cheaper of Jauron and Wanstedt the head coach. They are players like ND thought they were players when they ended up with Chuckles Weiss. Welcome to a half-decade of bush push moral victories piggies.

I can say this... Regardless of who we hire, our fanbase will be split with half being happy the process is finally over with the other half looking for rope and razorblades. I think we will end up with a good but not great hire.
