he didnt light the world on fire as head coach at ole miss, but that was ole miss of another era and another phase in his career. he did quite well at USC. he apparently is a top notch recruiter. in his incredibly brief tenure as LSU HC he has already made great decisions if it's true he is the one that relieved Cam Cameron of his duties and shifted Peveto to special teams full time to focus on improving that.

he is thrust into a very hard position. he clearly understand the need for a different offensive philosophy but doesnt have the benefit of an entire summer camp and spring before it to attempt to implement it. in my book that gives him a few passes.

it would be incredibly impressive if Orgeron beats UF, Mizzou, Arkansas or Ole miss (some combination to get to 5 or 6 wins out of his 8).

im for going radio silent on herman and fisher and others and let Orgeron do his thing for a bit. behind the scenes, the powers that be can talk to whoever. im actually pretty excited about orgeron.

Absolutely not. Only way I'd be okay with him staying is if he ran the table

I really hope our admin isn't as dumb as our fans, and I really hope F King and the like don't read fan support as a way to get the next coach on the cheap.

Ed O should only be considered under one circumstance. He goes 7-1 at worst, AND Herman/Fisher both say no. That is it.

Obviously he has to at least go 6-2, that may not be enough.

But the key will be is if LSU can pull someone they want. If Herman and Fisher decline then what? I dont want us to settle for a coach. Id keep O on until you get what you think is a homerun

yea if herman and fisher say no and orgeron is putting together a nice season he absolutely should get very serious consideration. not just surface treatment

How so? You frickers that have this mindset haven't seen him coach a game at LSU, and you are ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN he will ruin the program.

You have no proof, other than shite that happened 10 years ago, when there is more recent evidence that maybe, JUST MAYBE his philosophy changed.

Funny how people talk about Saban and his ability to change and adapt, and yet no other coach apparently has that ability.

I saw him as full time HC coach at Ole Miss.

I'll pass. He's a great guy and a true cajun but no for HC job.

Y'all are hyping him up so much. I'll go by actual results. 10-25 and 3-21 in the SEC at Ole Miss

At USC he barely beat shitty opponents and lost to the actual respectable teams in the pac 12.

He had one good game against Stanford.

Dear Derek Ponamsky,

Stop posting on this board.

If you're the personal assistant, then pick up the clean tear-away shirts from the cleaners, keep the coffee hot and the cush-cush cold.

Ogeron is 16-27 as a head coach.

6-2 would make him 22-27 A LOSING RECORD.

Are you just addicted to losing???

I've already predicted he'll go 6-2, just like he did at USC. And he will not get promoted, just like USC.

He would need to run the table and probably win the West.

Even then, if Herman is interested it's going to be hard to say no.

he will go 6-2

We got Ole Miss, Bama, Arky, A&M, Florida

We gonna have to beat three of those teams assuming we win all the rest of them.

I don't see it

Who is hyping Orgeron? I sure as hell am not, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Ole Miss, AGAIN, was 10 YEARS AGO!

You people want to act like he has to go prove himself somewhere else to even deserve consideration. It's ridiculous.

No matter what he does...he could go 8-0, win the SEC title and win a natty (again, I've said this many times, improbable, but not impossible), and he still wouldn't deserve it.

That's dumb as shite. But then again, we do have a pretty big group of dumbasses here.

Thank God none of you stooge asses are the AD. I bet some of you are the idiots that think we could get Saban or Meyer.

Isn't this the same dumbass board that wanted Aranda to be the HC-in-waiting? With nothing proving he deserves it?

The hypocracy is strong in tRant.
