No LSU fricks would be given, if that day comes.

Miles will win at Baylor. He recruits well and plays a smashmouth style of football that will work well in the Big 12 where they don't believe in playing defense.

I have to agree with you knowing his recruiting skills and OOC record at LSU.

I hope Miles goes somewhere and succeeds. I realized last year he had to go. Others were more vocal early. But I won't ever wish bad on the guy that gave me the best 11 years in succession that I e ever had as an LSU Football fan.

I hope the dude eats all the grass in Waco.

Got curious and looked around on the Texas LH board....found this post to be hilarious.

Talked to my connected friend this evening. I now wish I had not. Didn't care for what he had to say. He tells me there is a new hot name among the BMDs involved in a search for Charlie's replacement. That name is Les Miles. I almost threw the phone. I actually got mad at him. He's like whoooa there, I'm just relaying what I'm hearing. Thats right, Les Miles is in the mix. All no-offense, riverboat gambler, can't develop a QB Les Miles. Good news is . . . Hermann is still the top choice. That has not changed. Another name I heard mentioned, but not prominently, was Harsin. FYI

Actually no that's wrong. Every pro style approach brought to that league is smashed to bits. Then the coach goes and gets a spread OC, and it's like magic how easy everything on offense becomes. Oh, and they win more games.

He won't win right away because Baylor's current roster was built to run the spread and throw the ball all day....not Miles' offensive system.

Give Miles a couple years to recruit his type of players and his offensive style might actually succeed in the Big 12 because nobody there plays defense.

i dont care how bad their defenses are, not hard to put 8-9 guys in a box and stop him.. And Baylor wont hire him.. their AD already said they want to keep their offensive identity that put them on the map.. They will have to go after someone young like a scott frost or something, but he wont leave where he is for a baylor, would have to be bigger...

Les would inherit a good 4* freshman QB and 2 good running backs, but the bulk of Briles' 2016 recruits left this summer. The current staff are not recruiting. God knows what BU will sign for 2017. There are a plethora of D1 level HS players just along the Dallas/FW to Austin corridor. The competition for these kids is keen, but you only need to sign enough of them. The brand new athletic facilities just across the Brazos River from the new stadium are a plus, as well. I am hopeful that he comes and that the BU Board can pull their collective heads out of their long enough to make a decision.
