Saban never lost to two shitty teams in one year. He also never lost three in a row to shitty teams, which Herman would have done if not for a miracle against Tulsa (yeah Tulsa).

We lost to UAB and a 6-5 Arkansas team in 2000. So yea, he did lose to two horrible teams in one year.

LSU fans are all over Herman because of what they perceive he accomplished at Ohio State as a coordinator. No problem with that if we want to hire a coordinator.
As a head coach, he's getting beat by teams with less or equal talent. And LSU fans want this? The Herman love would turn to hate in two years.

The only coach that hasn't lost to lesser talent in recent years is Saban.
