Correct me if I'm wrong...O wasn't a total disaster at Ole Miss when it came to having good players on the team due to his recruiting prowess, he just couldn't head coach worth a flip. Hence, Orgeron being a solid choice for most any team as an assistant...Didn't Les Miles offer him a job 2 or 3 years ago?

correct.

Good guy to have on the staff just don't want him near actual gameday decision making.

Let Coach O go back to Thug U. It was while he was employed there as an assistant coach that he got into a bar fight while on a recruiting trip. Leopards don't change their spots.
