This is the greatest of all smoke screens. Think about it. Removes ALL pressure from Jimbo in the media. He is now firmly considered as staying out. No pressure whatsoever. All eyes on Herman. I know, it's not likely, but it is a possibility.
I'm just saying, with all the misinformation we've had in this search, why not continue that track?

There's no such thing as misinformation. It's just a job search. Calls are made. Some people show interest, some don't. Some people get raises out of it, some people just don't take the job. It's really not as exciting as y'all want it to be. I swear, some of y'all think this is like a Tom Clancy novel. It's not.

Or it could be Alleva wanted Orgeron all along...Jimbo was too expensive and Texas torpedoed Herman. He now has his two excuses.

He's not the leak. Every bit of info yesterday came first from Texas sources. If Alleva were to leak, it'd have come from an LSU Or national source first.
Likeliest scenario is Herman's agent leaked to UT writers to ramp up UT's pursuit. Or Texas boosters who want Herman did the same when they caught wind of LSU's support.

One theory is it was leaked by someone in the keep Charlie camp that wanted UT to think their number one potential candidate was off the table.

Well the ESPN reporter, who got into the box last night, said that Alleva wasn't happy to see her in there and didn't really answer any questions.
I don't think he was happy the news leaked and especially not happy to be asked questions about it last night.

If she wanted to talk to the leak source why didn't she call Herbie? He has a track record of making things up and has shown a special interest in trying to scoop things that hurt LSU.
