Made his hire weeks ago. He made sure everyone kept it quiet. They all get together a couple of times a week, drink beer and laugh at us on TD.
We all are twisting ourselves into knots guessing with absolutely no real information. We just need to wait, guys.

Why is so hard for people to come to grips with the fact that Scott thought he had Riley. There’s no secret smoke screen, we simply got left at the alter, and it sounds like we were left last minute.
If I had to guess, as of 10 PM Saturday, we expected Riley to be our next coach.
We are now squarely into the contingency plans.

What I think is, is that he’s got his shite together. If he does then he did talk to Riley’s agent and found out he didnt want to be in the SEC. So no, I don’t think for a second he thought anything like that

Dellenger is the most connected reporter to the Woodward admin, he wasn't in Stillwater Saturday night for the fun of it. We appear to have in fact been all in on Riley and missed.
I'm not saying Scott doesn't have it together, because I hope he does have it together. You can miss your top target and still have it together.
Look, when Alleva was all in on Herman and missed, he threw a fit and hired O within 24 hours. The fact that Scott hasn't panicked is a huge improvement.

I don’t have a clue, but LSU has been in the news cycle for months, every broadcast is bringing up the search. OSU even played ‘calling BR’, I’m still hopeful we hire a great coach and it was a plan to get some + press.

Not sure I agree. Delly is certainly connected, but Shea’s chronology of events is every bit as plausible.
