Dantonio from Michigan St?

Another coach that Saban beat.

Great coach. But of course because he isn't animated on the sideline or doesn't fly off the handle like Saban when someone screws up most are gonna say he would be an "underwhelming" hire. Just like David Shaw. Another great coach.
I have no worries about the results of this search though. I feel like Alleva won't make a decision based on pure perception. He'll thoroughly vet the candidates and will have actually watched the games they've coached.

My biggest concern with Dantonio is that it seems like he's a couple inches from retirement already. Not sure he has the energy to restart in Baton Rouge.

To be fair, the best you can do against a coach like Saban is 50/50 at best.

I'm not putting last night's game all on Shaw, but that Stanford team didn't look at ALL prepared for UW.

I don't want a 60 year old coach that runs a pro style offense. We just had that with Les.

Dantonio is more likely to retire than to take another head coaching job. He's old and has had some health problems.
This is stupid.
This is stupid.

Not a good idea, his heart couldn't take it. Between the artery clogging food, the booze and the crazy fan base we would probably kill him.

The fanbase will be pissed if it is not Herman or Jimbo. End of discussion

IMO LSU needs a younger coach
