The guy is elite. He has to be getting numerous offers every year.

Oklahoma did not agree with you when he was there.

Funny, Oklahoma hasn't been a factor since he left.

He was not good before and after he left! But Oklahoma did make the playoff without him!

Apparently he has figured it out since his time there.

Coach O at Ole Piss says hi.

His kids are at Clemson. He is the second highest paid coordinator in the NCAA --- higher than most G5 coaches. Why exactly would he be in a rush to leave?

Maybe he just wants to be a lifelong DC. For some reason he just doesn’t strike me as head coach kind of guy.

They were saying at one point in (I think) the Alabama broadcast last year that he’s too competitive for a rebuilding project. One of those guys who’ll just go insane if his team loses too much. So he’s probably waiting for a job like the one Kirby walked into at UGA.

The same reason they all do I would assume.... The desire to be a head coach?

Yes but it was a never ending for him at Oklahoma. Ole Miss is not LSU and LSU have been loaded with top players when he took over and was not like Ole Miss at all! Two different situation. You are comparing apples to oranges!

There are only 3 possibilities.

1: he has no interest in being a head coach

2: he has a terrible personality and people who interview him don’t like him or don’t think he could run a program

3: he’s actually overrated as frick and everyone who could potentially hire him as a head coach are fully aware of it.

Coach O even warned Kiffin not to take the Ole Miss job because it will more likely get him fired. Just like coach O got fired at Ole Miss. Venables do not want to risk getting expose to be a head coach and or was not good enough to be a head coach. Or he just do not want to be a head coach and may get a chance to get fired. So he is safe where he is at and money is not an issue.

He doesn't really want to be a HC. Really no other explanation.
