Looks like he handled the coaching search pretty good to me. He rightly told Herman to pound sand and hired a good coach. All of this drama is unnecessary. If anybody texts me gloating as far as their concerned I'm thrilled with the hire and looking forward to national championships.

Much less embarrassed if I were a Texas fan with that Shiiiat show.. If u think hermans gonn come in a fix all those issues I doubt it.

I'm embarrassed by the LSU fans that post here and other places proclaiming their embarrassment over and over again. Until we get embarrassed on the field I will be as optimistic as I am about life in general. Get over it we didn't get who you wanted.

Get over it ? Same was said when archer was hired. I got over it .. just not attached to the program like I once was. will be nice not to be pissed when lsu drops its 7th in a row to bama next year, or losses to Florida in the swamp. I will just back and laugh

I don't get it. Isn't Coach O 4-2 in the SEC west this year? Isn't Herman 5-3 in the American Athletic Conference. Is he really worth throwing 6 to 7 million at? I really think down the line Texas's AD is going to look like a major dumbass. It takes more than 2 years to make someone deserving of that type of money.

The hire was certainly underwhelming but I'm only embarrassed by the whiney, entitled, impossible to make happy fan base we have. I wanted Herman or Fisher too but it is what it is. Give Coach O a chance. If or when he doesn't deliver I'll be a critic but until then I'm a fan.

Coach O turned LSU's season around to finish 3rd in SEC West. Oh I forgot, Herman finished 4th in the Awesome American Athletic Conference West division. I still can't figure out why everyone is so butthurt about missing out on this guy. Now Jimbo I could see.
