Hearing Fisher is nearly a done deal; likely TBA around 11-28 if no hiccups

Negotiations continue, but close sources expect an agreement in principle to be finalized very soon; then formalized and announced around 11-28, if not before.

The negotiations include keeping Aranda for around $2 Mil, though it's not a lock. Herman to Texas is the variable that could cause some wake with Aranda; however, boosters remain optimistic he'll be here next year. It is becoming less and less likely that Herman will be in the running for LSU.

In the unlikely event negotiations fall through with Fisher, it will come down to O and Fedora. As the NOLA article correctly stated, some boosters are warming to O, but there are obvious concerns about his ability to sustain a program long term. Word is that O is the number 2 choice; however, that's in the mind of people who believe Fisher is a lock. Personally, I think if negotiations break down with Fisher's camp, Fedora will jump O. (Or maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part). Both really want the LSU job, but at the end of the day, it's about offense.

I'm still hearing that LSU wants to retain O as D-line coach and recruiting coordinator and are willing to up his salary plus pay the $750,000.00 bonus for his success as interim. This is part of the discussion with Fisher. There is no consensus on if O will actually stay if Fisher gets the job, but everyone agrees this is a very different situation from USCw.

Again, like I always say, take it for what it's worth. I'm only as good as my sources. With that being said, I have reason to believe my sources as they have been right many times in the past and tend to know what's going on. I'm sharing this stuff because I believe many of you would like to know and I'd hope you would do the same.

Regardless, we'll all know something for sure in 12 around days.

If Larry Fedora is the next LSU coach, Joe Alleva should be fired before the ink is dry on Larry's contract.

Can't wait for the next two weeks to be over to enjoy/participate in the melt over whoever gets the job.

Fisher would be a fool not to take this job. He's inheriting a hot rod and built in recruiting advantage. Saban won't be here forever. Kimbo is 15 years younger than him.

he's won 11 games at 2 different places. Much much much better resume than O.

They are extremely melodramatic. Fedora is a good coach. Sure, i have concerns, but not near as many as with O

I can't wait until this is over. The melting never will be, but at least I'll be more confident in the future of the program.

He needs to go anyway. I can't stand that guy. Les needed to go, but deserved a ton more respect than Alleva gave him.

I'm note sure who brought in Aranda, but somebody deserves credit for that.

All in all, you might be right, though. Our program has had a bad year in the PR department. He's mostly responsible for that.
