If we miss out on Herman, which we all would expect to be the top guy we go after... (No Jimbo is not leaving Florida State, quit dreaming...)

I know its a bit risky but I believe in this day and age time and winning makes things go away.

The guy that I would want the most is Art Briles.

The ability to build a program supersedes hardware in my opinion, because its only a matter of time until they get the hardware...Saban = Built 3 programs, Meyer -3 programs, Harbaugh - 3 because 49ers were dumpster fire too)

Briles built Baylor, BAYLOR! into a national power, if he can do that at an academic institution like Baylor its scary to think what he could do with LSU's athletes.

I would have the PR people at LSU ready to draft up a plan, for when you hire him. Be aggressive with "everyone deserves a second chance" or something, whatever..

He wont get into trouble again because he will be under a microscope. Plus you could get him very cheap right now.

Look at Petrino, no one is talking about how he cheated on his wife, they are talking about Louisville beating the shite out of everyone. No one is talking about Kiffen acting like a punk anymore, they are talking about what a great OC and play caller he is... Images can be rebuilt.

And no one really knows what all happened. The president/AD and Coach all got fired.. It could have easily gone above him.. Who knows.

Briles is in the top 3/4 easily of offensive minds in college football. Plus he would prob agree to keep most of our good staff (also saving money) tell him "hey you got 4 positions you can bring over, your son as the OC, a TE coach or OL/ Special teams etc. ..what ever.. just leave the defense to that young stud DC and you'll win multiple titles..

To be honest, I am no scout, but I had heard those WR coming out didn't know very much. I don't want back yard football with superior talent, which is why Baylor was successful.

We have to have a very knowledge offensive mind that can develop QBs - simple as that.

He runs a very simple one read offense that most high schools around the south run.. its why its efficient, and he scores on everyone... he keeps the defense on its heels.. attacking... the way an offense should be

MYTH!! He built them into a Big XII power. He has a HORRIBLE record against ranked teams. He built his record beating up on a bad conference and an absolute joke of an out of conference schedule.

Briles better find a way to clear his name soon or he is not going to get a big job. In today's climate concerning Domestic Abuse and Sex Crimes against women he is not the guy a place like LSU can have as the face of their football program .

Briles would be great but the man is 70 and comes with some pretty extreme baggage. If you want him you might as well hire his son and let Art be an assistant or let him consult in some way.

Why is "Hear Me Out" always followed by a ridiculously long post?

maybe that explains why Briles is out at AU and Doug Barfield is in.

Id want to know the details before i pass judgement.. Big believer of not laying your hands on a woman and certainly if you rape someone you should be castrated, but there are many instances where women setup men and or lie... again id want to know the details and if these women are the unpaid prostitute kind..

Then you have a higher standard than the rest of the world.

Briles is damaged goods no matter the "truth."

If you want the details they are available. There have been countless articles written about what happened at Baylor. It's not pretty. Just warning you.

So nobody cares that Briles is known A-hole who let all kinds of bad things go on his watch at Baylor. Are we really so desperate to win a damn football game that we go from Les Miles integrity to this guy? I don't want him. There has to be better.

If we dont get Herman or Fisher, Orgeron will keep the job with his current staff and a new OC. If it doesnt work out, we will try to get our guy again after next season. Orgeron will not let the program fall much in recruiting. So really this scenario is win win.
