Have LSU and Kiffin even talked yet?

I see lots of LSU and Kiffin chatter but have they officially spoken to each other? And I know there is the connection with O but did he say Kiffin by name too? Just looking for answers, just feel like we're missing something obvious.

I would say no - officially.
Talking to contractual obligated SEC coach without permission can cause problems.
However if one has a question from the other in the morning I'm sure the answers will arrive before that night! Several personal cellphones will be used.
