The football scoop post that folks on here were posting yesterday has now been deleted, as it was completely unsubstantiated and was based off of a speculation tweet. As you know, that footballscoop "post" claimed that Harbaugh turned down UM.

Here is what 247 and rivals are saying:
quote:

If you never believed a word we said before, believe this: Jim Harbaugh has not said 'No' to Michigan, as some have reported. We promise. And he remains a very viable candidate to replace Brady Hoke, perhaps even the favorite.

There is next to no chance he returns to San Francisco next year, which would have been the biggest obstacle. It's flat out toxic there right now. The Harbaughs love their home there (though if he makes enough money he could always have two homes, right?), but a change of scenery is all but inevitable.

Oakland: we've said all along that would be a stretch based on ownership, etc., and the roster. That's still true. Harbaugh would have to agree to a trade, and if anyone thinks he's going to be on board with that, well -

He's going to go out on his terms, and if that means it ends with the 49ers firing him, so be it.

Michigan is very much in play. You won't hear a peep out of Harbaugh right now, since he's focused on the task at hand and doesn't want any distraction. He's coaching his team, and he's trying to get to the playoffs (and beyond). There are others working this (in good hands - trust us), and the discussions have been fruitful. The significant ones started immediately after Brady Hoke was fired, as they should have - the Harbaugh family would never have allowed anything to interfere with Hoke's tenure at U-M, having great respect for him.

Like I said earlier, I think there is a 35% chance he comes to UM, but if he does come, a lot of you guys will look like absolute idiots for laughing at the idea.

I think there's a way better chance than 35%. I think he's actually their best fit.

Shouldn't Schefter be the guy anyone would listen to on this subject?

Michigan grad, worked in the West, has the best NFL contacts.

No Schefty, no care.

I just think the timing is fricked up with NFL guys because Harbaugh wouldn't leave before SF's season ends and there is no way Michigan is going to wait another month for a coach.

These mods are trying to drum up as much traffic on their site as possible so they aren't going to shite on the Harbaugh idea until it's obvious it isn't going to happen. So until then they'll be vague and play it up.

What would the time line be on Harbaugh? If they don't do anything while the NFL regular season is still going on then I would guess he's expressed through back channels that he wants it. Didn't Bama have to "officially" wait until after the regular NFL season to get short stuff?

Les Miles to Michigan

Because Sunshine Pumpers Say He's Staying

Remember Welter started over Beckwith and that was
The right call to the DA Pumpers

Ask Ole Miss if they wanted Beckwith in there.

there is a pretty big factor here that most may be missing. IF Harbaugh goes to Oakland it will be as a package deal that potentially opens the door for the Raiders to move back to Los Angeles. Which could happen as soon as next season. The thinking is Harbaugh taking over the Raiders makes them attractive enough to the League to give half the LA market to the Davis family. The Rams would move to LA as well and share the Colosseum until the new stadium is built on Kroenke's land in Inglewood. The League gets an NFC team and an AFC team in the #2 market in the country. Harbaugh gets control of the roster and the operations.

Kroenke land deal

Why would Harbaugh, who has been very successful in the NFL, leave the NFL to go back to coaching college football? what would be the main reason? He is still going to work his arse off while coaching at Michigan.

The only poster on TD in favor of Welter was TigrLee. AKA a Miles basher.
