Until he accepts the job I still say it's Oakland as the #1 location for him.

Do you just believe he prefers to stay in the NFL over college and that's the driving factor?

He's too big of a competitor to revert to the college game unless effectively forced.

As we speak, Urbs is already negative recruiting UM with '16 prospects telling them Harbaugh will only be there 3 years before he jumps back to the NFL.

Yea, because the college game is sooooooooo uncompetitive. Chance to coach against Meyer is sooooooo uncompetitive.

Damn, when I think competitive, I think CUM. He'll be back palpatating in no time.

Harbs will get through the blackballing and be back on the senior circuit in no time. UM is way below his paygrade.

I knew it was hard to convince a lot of you that he would take the job in the first place. Now come the conspiracy theorists that if he does take it, he's being forced to

This can be considered a lateral move or a step down considering in four years he went to three NFC championship games and one Super Bowl.

This will be interesting to see. I think he'll find that Ohio State and Michigan State are tougher competitors than when he was at UM and tougher now than in the 90s and from 2000 to 2010.

Plus Penn State appears to be headed in the right direction. I think he'll do a reverse Saban. Go to college for a few years and find the NFL to be better.

It's totally plausible. Or maybe he has in fact realized that his style won't work long-term in the NFL - that he will eventually lose any ownership, front office, and locker room in time. That kind of realization should be saluted.

You act like the NFL is harder for coaches like it is players. It takes a completely different coaching skillset.

Harbaugh has been extremely successful in the NFL. Three NFC championship games and one Superbowl.

The NFL will come calling in a few years with more money than Michigan and an itch Harbaugh will want to scratch.

I'll believe it when I see it. If you're a good NFL coach, why go back to college where you have the added burden of recruiting restrictions, practice limitations and kissing booster asses. Harbaugh strikes me as an a-hole who doesn't care to deal with Michigan boosters and their built up years of frustration.

Fair opinion, and one of the only reasons I'm worried about Harbaugh being our coach is the fact he may want to return to the NFL.

But, part of the draw of Michigan it seems for him and his family is the stability it can provide that the NFL doesn't.

I'll be very surprised if this happens. And even if it does, it will be temporary. Harbaugh wants to stay in the NFL.
