He does not appear to like it.

Gonzales jumping Meyer's ship for LSU appears fishy

What does he mean by that?

I can summarize his thinking - "hmm miles seems to be making some decent hires and chances are high that I won't get another chance to pull him down for the next few seasons - might as well get some shots before the season starts"

Honestly, has GG said anything positive about Miles or LSU since Miles arrived.

I think to most it may appear as somewhat of a lateral move. Unless the passing game coordinator thing is for real, I don't think it is uncalled for to question his motives for leaving UF.

Anything Miles does Guilbeau criticizes. I like Glenn overall, but he has a huge bias against Miles. I think it has to do with the fact that Glenn is perceived as one of Saban's biggest defenders.

I think his real thinking is apparent from the comment about LSU having assistants with Louisiana ties. He harped on that about both Wilson & Tolbert. While in theory I agree with him, I think taking a coach from Urban Meyer is a good move. Plus, I think it speaks well of the respect other coaches have for Miles that he would be interesting in coming here.

I think he's just always saw what many are just now realizing with Miles, he's in over his head.

it's possible Urban encouraged him to look around for other potential places to coach next year...i.e. Mallveto

So that equates with him criticizing every single move he makes?

While in theory I agree with him, I think taking a coach from UofFlorida with extensive ties to recruiting that area to replace the work Earl Lane was doing there is a great move.

Guilbeau disapproves of this hire??

Okay I've heard enough.

Coach Miles, this hire rates a Tiger 56 seal of approval.

The interesting thing about the vocal minority is that they always presume that they represent the silent majority!

Of course not. Don't you know that by now?

Is it possible to find a fanbase that roots AGAINST its coaches or hopes for failure any more than LSU?

Guilbeau liked the Wilson hire and the Tolbert talk FWIW. He is expressing the same questions that others are expressing about Gonzales mainly, "why is he leaving". Criticism unwarranted (on this one).

Then why is it "fishy"?

It would be reasonable to ask "why is BG leaving for LSU? why now? is it lateral?

Those are reasonable journalistic questions.

'its "fishy"' is douchebaggery
