IMO I think CEO would be a lifer and not jump ship to the 1st professional team that offers him like Tom Herman would..

And people like you are the type that bitched about Miles coaching for years only to settle for a coach that has failed in the past. If LSU was willing to cut ties with Les and pay him his buyout, why sell themselves out short for hiring a position coach? I love coach O but he is not what we need as a head coach.

You hire Herman if you can, and get Aranda to stay by paying him and promising him once Herman leaves for the NFL he will get the head coaching gig. That's assuming Aranda even wants to be a H.C.
And if we can't get Herman or Jimbo then absolutely keep coach O at head coach and give Aranda the same deal.

We've been doing just fine at recruiting lately and it still ended up with firing our HC. Recruiting isn't the end all be all, there's also some coaching and developing talent required as well.
